Well, if there are fans of B-shows like Firefly, then why not make SG-1 RL ? Its random by definition of the setting, and the emphasis might be on exploration and collecting weird devices with unpredictable results. And then there are random “base invasions” which you must fight off with the devices you managed to gather and make work.

Yeah, I imagine space combat, perhaps salvage or rescue quests, the standard western feel to the space genre. I don’t know, I just figure it’s the perfect setting for a game.

What kind of gameplay would you want out of a Firefly RL? Spaceship combat maybe? Tell us what you think would be fun and you just might see it someday :)

There is a serenity role playing game as well, which might be easier to base it on :)

I’ve only recently discovered the existence of roguelikes. I’m just hoping one pops up eventually around the Firefly series.

I’m getting ready for it because I’m playing!
Anything that fits my system I will install. It’s been a good long while since I played an RL.
