Unangband 0.6.2
This release is a development check point which allows you to play a “relatively” bug free version of Unangband, while we significantly hack on the source to add extra features that may potentially destabilize further releases.
Please save often.
Legerdemain 0.9.6
You may find Phenomedom has changed in subtle ways since the previous version. New dialogue has been added along with some new items. Certain regions have been reshaped and/or had their populations adjusted, particularly for the case of early areas that you revisit once your fame has grown.
LambdaRogue 0.2.7
I just released the 7th beta of LambdaRogue and the first version of this game since spring 2007.
DoomRL 0.9.8.10
It is this time of the year again, folks. I thought the next release would be 0.9.9, but there were too many things to do, so I decided to create a 0.9.8.10 version.
Elona 1.04
A new version of Elona has been released. I’ve fixed some bugs and translated some more messages. Also, thanks to f1r3fly, in-game help is being translated. Although it’s not finished yet, I’ve also included the help in this version.

TSL 0.9
There’s honestly not a lot to say about this release. It isn’t very polished and the new features aren’t really useful yet - I’m posting mostly to let people know I’m still alive and at least some of the flaws exposed in 0.8 have been fixed.
Warlocks Mountain 0.3.2
As it would happen I was looking at my old source files and came across an old binary for WM. I was stunned that this was a previously unreleased version with a few new features that I had forgotten about.
MageGuild v0.6
Hey, all. Another small step for MageGuild: v0.6.
Zomband 7DRL Merge
I have spent some extra time combining the classic Zomband with the 7DRL expansion, creating one mostly-polished game.

Independant software firm Lukos Software has released the first beta of their .Net MageGuild (v0.5) , looks pretty interesting so far. Note that if you are running windows you will most likely not need to download anything to run it.
Take on the role of a skilled and daring apprentice of the Nahelan Mage Guild. Delve through countless dark halls, gathering troves of hidden knowledge and gaining power; battle hordes of deadly enemies that will test the limits of your power and wit; and if you’re very lucky and very skilled, emerge into the light of day again, a full master in the Mage Guild. Play MageGuild.
POWDER (a.k.a. POWDAH) versions 103 and 104 are out now.
The long sought after fire arrows are finally present, self-poly into an iron golem has been further nerfed, and many bugs fixed. Most notable of the bug fixes is one to correct the gender assignment of dungeon citizens.
Atinar - Valley of Misery, a promising RPG/Roguelike in the works, has a new blog. Although no release is yet available, developer has promised to show off advancements to the public via his blog
Although easy to play, and enjoyable even during a coffee break, it has enough deep and dynamic content as to be able to always show something new and interesting for the player.
MegamanRL version 0.0.8 has been released by Slashie.net, featuring bugfixes and enhancing customization. You can now fully create your own levels and configure your enemies AI!

Cracks and Crevices 0.4
OK, I’ve sat on the release long enough. I’m sure some basic bug will pop up but what the hey.
GearHead2 v0.501
A new version of GearHead2, the robot-pimping giant-monster-fighting post-apocalyptic pop-singing roguelike, has just been uploaded to SourceForge.
Legerdemain 0.9.5
Legerdemain: the epic roguelike/IF/RPG hybrid that a couple of people are talking about!
Now with only half the crashes!
German NetHack-De 3.4.2-20080309a
NetHack-de is an attempt at a German translation of NetHack.
Sewerjacks 0.8.6d
You can finally unlock all races by defeating the races boss. Defeating the game will give you more classes for the race you were playing.
Angband 3.0.9b
Angband 3.0.9b is a bugfix version of 3.0.9.
Mines of Elderlore 1.0 beta 4 is released
I have continued developing it after the initial 7DRL release, adding graphics, balancing gameplay, and now release 1.0 beta 4 is there.
Unangband 0.6.2 Beta Release 2
This probably the last release with so big changes before 0.6.2 gold. Among other things, options’ names are changed, so some of your old pref files may not work as expected (old option names are ignored).
DoomRL Windows Installer
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
- confirm overwrite of .bat and .ini files during update
- enable or disable deletion of doom.prc, player.dat and score.dat during update
- configuration section in the Windows start menu for game settings, music and sound
- detection if the game is running
- Vista SP1 ready
Incursion 0.6.5B
There are new Win32 and Linux versions of Incursion up on the website. The bug list, down for several days, is now fixed. I’m going to be refactoring the Encounter Gen code next, so no updates (other than hopefully a Mac port of 0.6.5B) for a little while.

Labyrinth of Reptoran v0.2.7
After receiving suggestions from r.g.r.d., Roguetemple, and one person on the Reptoran forums, I’ve updated LoR to include some of the requested features.
The Slimy Lichmummy 0.8
New things include wishes and three new level generators. Polymorphing now works for enemies. Stunning now behaves like “halved speed for a limited time” rather than “instadeath through paralysis”.
libtcod 1.1
* added the Perlin noise toolkit
* added the Field of view toolkit
* added customizable bitmap font size
DaJAngband 1.0.03
To add flavor and character to vanilla Angband. This is done mostly through redoing the monster list and adding a few new classes and races. Other changes are mainly to complement the changes in the monster list.
Unangband 0.6.2
This release was prompted by Mikolaj Konarski reminding me we should probably do a beta release at some point, and pointing out that I hadn’t added any broken features or crazy ideas in a little while. Mikolaj also reported the majority of bugs in this release, as well as fixing most of them.

Hello people!
So, here I am with yet another exciting, ground-breaking, fun-bringing, Releases Wire! Lots of things happening into this, our small roguelike world.
DoomRL 0.9.8.9
Not even a month has passed since the 0.9.8.8 release, and a new and fresh 0.9.8.9 release is available! Except for a lot of refactoring, this version has a *lot* more new features than 0.9.8.8 had!
Warp Rogue 0.8.0
Warp Rogue 0.8.0 has been released! Windows and Linux binaries only this time, the project needs a new Mac porter.
IronBand 13Jan08
The new release includes some bugfixes, some balance improvements and some documentation improvements.
Ironband is rapidly becoming stable and I hope to go to a full release soon.
GearHead2 0.460
I’ve just uploaded a new release of GH2 to SourceForge. Two new cities have been added for the Rishiri Dominion: Yatate Spinner and Galconde Spinner. Yatate is the home of the Rocket Stars; it’s known for its wild nightlife and extreme street fashion. Galconde Spinner is a center of scientific research. It features a university and a mecha parts shop.
POWDER 098
Many minor fixes in this version as I continue the quest for polish. I am also proud that I have my first attempt at a Mac version: OSX only, of course, but I think I made a Universal Binary.
NetHackDS 1.16
The goal of this project is to create a port of NetHack for the DS utilizing the unique features of the DS to create an easy-to-use NetHacking experience. I think I’ve succeeded in that goal. I’m probably wrong.
The Slimmy Lichmummy 0.6
Hi,
TSL 0.6 is out.
The Mike Mayday graphics edition DFG v3 (Graphics for Dwarf Fortress!)
Since my compilation of graphic components is gaining popularity, I have decided to put up a webpage for it. The DFG, as I like to call it, is based on the work of Tocky, DR, Herrbdog, some other members of the DF community (including myself) and some other game sprites.
Have fun!

DoomRL 0.9.8.8
Alltough it’s still not 0.9.9, I present DoomRL 0.9.8.8, another step on the road of DoomRL’s development. 0.9.8.7 had a few serious bugs that needed fixing. Also, there’s a LOT of refactoring needed to present the features of DoomRL 0.9.9 and 1.0.0 — a lot of this refactoring has been done in this version.
Unangband 0.6.2-wip7e
This is a work in progress (and moreover interim, by Bandobras) release, so please save often and report bugs. Savefiles are compatible, unless the level you are on has fallen out of the levels range of the current dungeon, so it’s safest to upgrade when in Rivendell, Bree, Hobbiton or Bucklebury (their depths are unchanged).
3Dwarf Visualizer
Testing time! I finally feel comfortable releasing a public beta of my map visualizer, 3Dwarf. Please watch the tutorial video to get a feel of what the program is capable of. Keep in mind this is a beta, and some maps may not display correctly. I did most of my testing on forest maps, so they will look the best for now.
POWDER 095
While some maintainers may make a special Christmas Release that has neat features that provide joy and happiness to their players, the 094 Christmas Release had no interesting new features and a serious game crashing bug.
In penance, I have been running the stress test for a day now to hopefully avoid a similar embarassing release.
Dwarf Fortress 0.27.169.33g
A few more fixes, a few new init options and a new interface for bringing items to the trade depot. See the dev log for a complete list.
SteamBand 0.4.1 Final
It’s your Christmas gift — it’s here, bug free (crosses fingers), and fun. Everything that has been said before can be said again.
Steamband is a modern variant containing UI features such as a menu, extensive on-line help, bigscreen, terminal windows, memory features, an extensive custom monster and artifact list, and skill based character development.

Berserk 0.8.5
It is taking so long, I know. There’s a graphical version in the works, but I don’t know how much time it will take. To ease the wait, I release a halfway-to-0.9 version of Berserk!.
Quest for the Unicorn 5
Quest for the Unicorn is a rogue-like game built with a graphical interface instead of pure text. The inspiration for its creation came from games like Rogue, Hack, and Moria.
DarkHall 1.1.35
Lots of new stuff since the last ‘release’ version, including new skills, monsters, items, and graphics upgrades. Many bugs fixed, and much of the combat and loot system has been reworked. Full version notes are available at the link.
The Slimy Lichmummy 0.5
It feels like I’ve made great progress these last few months, and I’d like to thank everyone that has sent me feedback. The suggestions I have received so far have been very useful and appreciated.
DaJBand 1.1.02
I call it a semi-variant because hardly any code is changed, just a lot of modifications to the text files. Can’t call it a real variant because there are several real variants of Angband out there where people actaully added features, dungeons, and differences in interface and gameplay which I don’t know how to do. I don’t know any C code, but I was able to look at the source code and figure out how to make a few tweaks mainly just to make the game fit my monster list better.
Unreal World 3.04
- A new installer
- Savefile size reduced
- Fixed map screen [F6] sometimes getting filled with markers
- Slight tuning in map genarator
- Introducing a new creature randomization system as applied to Njerpez warriors and foreign traders
- Removed excess amount of swords and metal armours from Njerpez warriors and foreign traders
- Fixed bug with food left in the cellar spoiling quickly after taking it out
- Removed possibility to choose another starting scenario upon changing campaign
- Fixed bug potential code in data structures
- Swimming improved
- Natural attack damage levels reasoned
- Ritual screen slightly re-arranged

IronBand I
I’m doing a first release of Ironband today, hoping to pick up any problems with the distribution. It works for me but I’ve not tested it on any other computer, so now seems like a good time.
FuryBand 5.0 Gold
FuryBand is an ASCII RPG based off of the Fury-Engine. There are more than a thousand monsters, dozens of character races, and hundreds of weapons. Try to play through a LOTR based campaign in FuryBand, or try the classical angband dungeon in FuryBand T. If you want a real challenge, see how far you can get in FuryBand G, where all the monsters are twice your level, so the better you do, the stronger they get.
Unangband 0.6.2-wip7c
This release fixes some significant game-play logic bugs for the competition, as well as an overhaul of the wilderness map. I particular want to thank Mikolaj Konarski again for his beautiful ASCII art map, adapted from FAAngband’s wilderness map designed by Nick McConnell. Mikolaj also reported the majority of bugs in this release, as well as fixing about half of them.
Zaiband 3.0.7
Zaiband is a V3.0.6-fork with some changes.

GearHead2 v0.451
GH2 is a scifi mecha roguelike cRPG taking place five years after the Typhon Incident. Here are the major changes in v0.451:
- Tactical arena mode has been greatly improved. There are now personalities for each faction who introduce the missions, debrief the player afterwards, and sometimes even give bonuses to the team. A variety of earnable rewards, such as skill trainers and mecha sources, are available to be won.
- The NPC mecha generator has been completely rewritten. Enemy pilots should now more closely match the skill level of the player.
- A new location, Theles Spinner, has been added to the L5 region. This colony is also known as “The Meatyard”. It is a place where human life is cheap, populated by exiles from the other spinners.
RevivedHack 1.61
RevivedHack is a modern version of the classic Roguelike game Hack, NetHack’s predecessor. It integrates bugfixes and new features while preserving the original gameplay.

HexCrawl 0.3.3
Following in the wake of the release of Crawl Stone Soup 0.3, I am pleased to announce the first proper post-7drl release of hexcrawl. Hexcrawl is Crawl, but in hex.
Crawl 4.1 Alpha over Akrasiac.
So, Crawl players are known to like pain. (We play Crawl.) Many of us started our Crawl careers recently and haven’t had the chance to experience the pain that is Crawl Alpha 4.1. Also, certain (*cough*cbus*cough*) people think that they can succeed where so many others have failed. So, after some wrangling, I’ve got it mostly working on crawl.akrasiac.org.
The Slimy Lichmummy 0.4
Some highlights from the changelog:
* World travel implemented
* No more levels/classes/XP
