What to download?

Three packages are available for download: NotEye+Hydra Slayer, NotEye+Brogue, and Roguelike Bundle.

If you just want to play Brogue, proceed here.

If you just want to play Hydra Slayer, download the NotEye+Hydra Slayer package.

If you just want to play a game which supports NotEye very well, try Hydra Slayer or download ADOM from its official site.

If you want to try NotEye's capability of running with various games (such as DoomRL), and you are using Windows, the Bundle is what you want -- if you are using Linux, download NotEye and connect the games you want yourself. (Note: Brogue included in the Bundle is very old and glitched! If you want to try Brogue, try the new version instead.)

If you want to use NotEye for the game you are developing, or to contribute to the development of NotEye, read the dev guide and download one of the two packages (depending on your OS and the number of working examples you want). You can also clone the NotEye project on GitHub, to stay up-to-date with the newest developments which have not yet been officially released.

NotEye+Hydra Slayer

Download NotEye 8.4 + Hydra Slayer 17.1

This all-in-one package contains Windows executables for NotEye and Hydra Slayer, as well as sources which can be compiled under Linux and OSX (possibly also under other operating systems).

You can get the OSX package of NotEye 8.1 here.

Part of the graphic tiles used in this program is the public domain roguelike tileset "RLTiles". You can find the original tileset at: http://rltiles.sf.net
These tiles are currently used by nLarn, Rogue, and NetHack.

Released under GNU General Public License, version 2. As such, it comes with without any warranty. Disclaimer: I hope there are no crash bugs, but... Better not to test Necklace of the Eye on your important characters :)

Note: some console games don't recognize the resolution correctly when started in fullscreen mode (probably because going fullscreen resizes the console and they think that it is too small). Run them in windowed mode and switch to full screen later. In some locales (e.g. Japanese) NotEye does not interpret the screen correctly, switch your locale e.g. to US in this case.

NotEye Roguelike Bundle

Download NotEye Roguelike Bundle 1.5

This bundle includes: A launcher (rlbundle.bat) is included -- just run the launcher and play the games!
UPDATE (Mar 11, 2017): the bundle does not work on some systems because of a bug. Replace noteye.dll (in "noteye" subdirectory) by this file to fix this.
